What is Trivia Night?
Trivia night is a competitive event that brings friends and families together to compete in pop culture trivia for a prize of $500.00 cash. Participants will enjoy food, music, and camaraderie in a positive and fun atmosphere while donating to a worthy cause.
Parking: Parking is FREE. The Club is located on the 5th Floor (rooftop). You can park at any level of the parking garage by going up to the gate, pressing the intercom button and letting them know you will be going to The Greenspoint Club. We will request for the gates to be open 30 minutes before the event so that you can access the parking garage easier. I have also attached the Map and Parking Instructions for your reference.
What Now?
1) Gather your team!
Your table has 10 seats. Fill your table with the smartest folks you know! Ages 12 and up are welcome. The cost per table is $250/table or $25 per person
2) Choose a theme to decorate your table
Every table will need to decorate with a theme. A table cloth will be provided at each table. Theme ideas: Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Hawaiian, Halloween, Hollywood, etc
3) Arrive
Doors open at 6pm. Please arrive at 6:00pm – no later than 6:30pm to set up your table and orient yourself and your team. Trivia will begin promptly at 7pm. Dinner will be served buffet style. Dinner is complimentary. Tables are first come, first serve. They are numbered but they are not assigned.
4) Compete
There will be 5 rounds of trivia. Your team will compete against the other teams for a $500 grand prize. There will also be individual games for prizes. Trivia will be divided into categories with 10 questions per category. Answers will be submitted by table. Each round your scores will be tallied and displayed. There are 100 total points to win – 10 questions per round – 2 points per question – 5 rounds!!

There may be a few multiple choice questions, but most will not be. Using smart phones are not allowed – that’s cheating!
5) Bid!
There will be a silent auction where guests can bid on items they desire by simply writing a bid on a sheet of paper. Silent Auction begins at 6:00pm. The highest bid at the end of the night wins. An announcement will be made when the silent auction is closing. Guests MUST pay for that item the night of the auction! Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, paypal and credit/debit card.

1. Pre-competition things to do:
(a) Make sure all members of your team read these rules.
(b) Each table will select a captain. The captain’s duty is to enter your answers.
2. Arrival time for table decorating is 6:00pm. The program will begin promptly at 6:45pm.
3. Trivia will consist of 5 Rounds with 10 questions in each category. There is a break after rounds 2 and after round 4
4. In the interest of time and short attention spans, each question will be read twice only.
5. Each question has only one answer. Keep your team discussions at a low volume unless you want the neighboring team to eavesdrop. Neither changing of answers nor applying mulligans will be allowed once the answers are turned in. Make sure what you turn in has the answers you want.
6. Resource materials and electronic devices are strictly prohibited at the tables. Violating tables forfeit ten points for the round.
7. At the end of every round the correct answers will be read.
8. After each round is judged, a spreadsheet will display scores for that round, as well as the team(s) currently leading the competition over all
9. The judicial committee has the final say on any disputed answers. We have attempted to be 100% correct so all of our answers at the time of the game are official. If you feel your score is incorrect, bring this to the judge's attention as soon as possible.
10. If you must use your cell phone for a call, please step outside the room
11. Individual prizes will also be awarded. To participate in Heads or Tails, individuals will be asked to stand up and hold your dollar up to be collected. The winner will receive a prize.
12. At the end of round five, in the event of a tie, one bonus question will be asked to break the tie. The first team to correctly answer the question, will win.
13. Food and beverages will be available. The food is complimentary. The drinks are a cash bar. No outside beverages or food are allowed.
14. At the end of the event, the winning team will receive the Grand Prize of $500 in cash.
