ELIGIBILITY:
GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR GIRL:
CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENTS:
VIDEO SCHOLARSHIP INSTRUCTIONS:
ALL STEPS must be completed by 11:59 pm CST on April 30, 2020 or your submission will not be considered.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR GIRL:
- Must be a graduating high school senior girl (graduating in spring or summer 2020) from a Houston-Harris County high school
- Must enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or vocational/technical school for the 2020-2021 academic year and submit proof of enrollment to receive the award.
- Must submit a completed application with a professional head shot
- Must submit a 1-2 minute video introducing yourself and why “It’s Personal”. Videos longer than 2 minutes will be disqualified
- Must have a Facebook account and LIKE the Mademoiselle Service and Social Club Facebook page (FB: The Mademoiselles)
- Must have your parents’ permission to participate by signing the application form
CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENTS:
- Must be a female age 18-25 years
- May be enrolled full-time or part time
- Must submit a completed application with a professional head shot
- Must include a copy of your most recent transcript (official or unofficial) with your application and video submission.
- Must show proof of enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year before receiving the award.
- Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year or four-year college or vocational/technical school in the U.S. during the 2019-2020 academic year.
- Must have on Facebook account and LIKE the Mademoiselle Service and Social Club Facebook page (FB: The Mademoiselles)
- You must submit a 1-2 minute video introducing yourself and why “It’s Personal”. Videos longer than 2 minutes will be disqualified
VIDEO SCHOLARSHIP INSTRUCTIONS:
ALL STEPS must be completed by 11:59 pm CST on April 30, 2020 or your submission will not be considered.
- Create your video!
- Video must include: Your name, high school or college you currently attend, academic accomplishments, extracurricular accomplishments, volunteer service in the last 12 months, and why “It’s personal” for you.
- Video entries must be 1 to 2 minutes and no more than 2GB. Videos longer than 2 minutes will be disqualified
- Format: Videos from digital cameras, camcorders, and phones are all acceptable as long as they can be uploaded to Facebook. Please avoid filming any copyrighted material such as music, logos, etc.
- Upload your video to your own Facebook page and tag our page anytime between February 15th and April 30th at 11:59pm CST. Leave the video up until May 8, 2020. LIKE the Mademoiselle Service and Social Club Facebook page (FB: The Mademoiselles)
- Submit an application. College students must also submit an official or unofficial 2019-2020 transcript
- You must agree to the rules and regulations to participate. If under 18, you must have your parent or guardian read, agree, and sign.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- There is no minimum GPA requirement
- There is no fee to apply or enter
- Scholarship award will be sent by check upon proof of enrollment (not acceptance).
- One video submission per person

Hello, my name is Naya Edwards and I am proud to be the 2019 Mademoiselle Scholarship Recipient. Currently, I attend North Shore Senior High in Houston, TX, where I am the Class of 2019 Salutatorian. I’m also captain of the tennis team as well as a member of choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, principal advisory board, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Class Officers, and NAACP. In addition to these organizations, I have been a committed member of Mademoiselles for four years and have enjoyed all aspects of this awesome organization. As President of my Chapter, I have been encouraged to grow as a service leader within my community. Mademoiselles offers a sisterhood that I am grateful for and will take with me as I attend Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. My major interest is in International Business, with minor emphasis in Spanish and Communication.
